Distribution Centre

Located 20 km south of Hamilton in Caledonia, Ontario our distribution centre encompasses 30 acres with direct access to CN rail, and houses four warehouses and four dry kilns. The distribution centre lets us provide:

  • Capacity for six rail cars at our siding
  • Indoor covered storage for over 200,000 square feet of product
  • Less-than-truckload service throughout Ontario and Eastern Canada using our own fleet
  • Just-in-time delivery services
  • Vendor-managed inventory programs

Logistics Services

Re-Manufacturing Services

With our vendor-partners N&C can create unique component solutions for your manufacturing needs. Our facility is fully FSC certified, which allows us to continue the chain of custody while being able to offer these services:

  • HT and IPPC-HT stamping and certification for most lumber products

Custom Kiln Drying & Heat Treating Services

Nicholson and Cates has four state-of-the-art, computer-controlled direct fire kilns that yield 160,000 feet of custom kiln drying capacity. We are certified to Kiln Dry Harwood and to Heat Treat both hardwood and softwood lumber.
